Description
What’s in the Vuse Alto Power Unit Kit
The Vuse Alto Power Unit Kit includes two things: the Vuse Alto device and a magnetic USB charger. That’s it. No pods, no e-liquid, no extras. If you already vape with the Alto system and need a replacement device, or you want to pick your own pods separately, this is the kit to grab.
The Vuse Alto battery is the same unit found in the All In One Kit, just without the bundled pod. It’s a 350mAh rechargeable device that works with every Vuse Alto pre-filled pod on the market. Snap in a pod, take a draw, and you’re good.
350mAh Rechargeable Battery
The Vuse Alto device runs on a 350mAh rechargeable battery. A full charge takes roughly 70 minutes through the included magnetic USB charger, and a single charge typically lasts through most of a 1.8mL pod before you need to plug in again.
The LED indicator on the front shows your battery level at a glance. Green means full or near-full charge. Yellow means you’re getting low. Red means it’s time to connect the charger. Simple, no guesswork involved.
Unlike disposable vapes that die when the battery runs out, the Alto Power Unit recharges hundreds of times. You buy the device once and just replace pods as needed. Over time, that’s a significantly lower cost per puff compared to single-use disposables.
Magnetic USB Charger Included
The Vuse Alto charger uses a proprietary magnetic connection that snaps onto the bottom of the device. It’s not USB-C or micro-USB, so you can’t substitute a random cable from a drawer. The magnetic design is intentional though: it connects instantly, holds firm during charging, and disconnects with one hand.
The other end plugs into any standard USB port. Laptop, wall adapter, car charger, power bank: whatever you have nearby works. Since the Vuse Alto Power Unit Kit includes the charger, you’re covered right out of the box.
If you lose the charger down the line, replacements are available, but it’s worth keeping the included one in a consistent spot. It’s the one accessory the device can’t function without long-term.
Compatible with All Vuse Alto Pods
The Vuse Alto starter kit works with every Vuse Alto pre-filled pod available, including Golden Tobacco, Menthol, and any other flavors currently in the lineup. Pods click in magnetically and sit flush with the top of the device.
Each pod holds 1.8mL of e-liquid with 5% (50mg) nicotine salt. They’re closed-system pods, meaning there’s no filling, no coil changes, and no mess. When a pod is empty, you pull it off and snap in a fresh one. Pods are sold separately in 2-packs and 4-packs.
One thing to note: Vuse Alto pods are NOT cross-compatible with other Vuse models like the Vuse Pro or Vuse Solo. The Alto uses its own pod format, so make sure you’re grabbing Alto-specific pods when you restock.
Draw-Activated, Zero Buttons
There are no buttons, no screens, and no settings on the Vuse Alto. You draw on the mouthpiece and the device fires automatically. The auto-draw sensor activates the coil instantly, delivering a consistent hit every time.
This is what makes the Alto popular with people switching from cigarettes. There’s nothing to learn. If you can inhale, you can use it. Experienced vapers who want a simple backup device appreciate it for the same reason: it just works.
Available Colors
The Vuse Alto Power Unit is available in multiple device colors:
Blue: a solid deep blue with matte finish
Green: a forest green that stands out from the usual black/silver options
Red: bold and easy to spot
Slate: a neutral grey that goes with everything
All colors are the same device inside. Performance, battery life, and pod compatibility are identical across the lineup. Pick whichever one you like.
Who Should Buy the Power Unit Kit
The Vuse Alto Power Unit Kit is designed for three types of buyers:
Replacement buyers: your current Alto device is worn out, lost, or damaged and you need a new one without paying for a bundled pod you don’t need
New vapers who want to choose their own pods: maybe you already know which flavor you want, or you want to buy pods and the device from different places
Budget shoppers: the Power Unit Kit costs less than the All In One Kit because it doesn’t include a pod. If you’re buying pods anyway, this saves a few dollars
If you’d rather get everything in one box, check out the Vuse Alto All In One Kit, which includes the same device plus a pre-filled pod.
Vuse Alto vs Disposables
Disposable vapes are convenient, but they add up fast. A single disposable might last 200 to 8,000 puffs depending on the model, and then it’s trash. The Vuse Alto device recharges and reuses the same battery for months. You only replace the pods.
The math works out in the Alto’s favor pretty quickly. A $12.99 device plus ongoing pod refills costs less per month than buying new disposable vapes every few days. It also produces less waste, which matters if that’s something you think about.
