The Smok Nord 6 vape kit is the big-battery, high-power step-up in the Nord range. It runs 5 to 80W with RPM 4 mesh coils for RDTL (restricted direct-to-lung, a slightly open draw) and DTL (direct-to-lung, a full open draw). It is a bigger, more powerful device than the Smok Nord 5: nearly double the battery (3800mAh vs 2000mAh) and the newer RPM 4 coil platform, aimed at vapers who want clouds and all-day-plus runtime.

The Nord 6 is a sub-ohm device (coils under 1.0Ω), so it leans towards open, cloudy draws. Two coils cover the range.
RDTL (restricted lung, some resistance): use the 0.4Ω dual-mesh pod or the 0.6Ω RPM 4 coil, roughly 10 to 30W. A warmer, controlled draw with good flavour.
DTL (full open lung): use the 0.15Ω RPM 4 coil, roughly 30 to 60W (around 50W is the sweet spot). This is the big-cloud setting.
You can close the airflow slider right down on the 0.4Ω pod for a tighter, almost cigarette-like pull, but the Nord 6 is not built as a dedicated MTL device. If you want a tight MTL vape with nic salts, a smaller pod kit suits you better.

Coils and E-Liquid Pairing
The Nord 6 is built for higher-VG e-liquid, not high-strength salts. Match the coil to the juice:
0.15Ω RPM 4 (DTL, 30 to 60W): pair with 70/30 high-VG shortfill for big clouds and full flavour.
0.6Ω RPM 4 (RDTL, 10 to 30W): pair with 50/50 e-liquid, or low-strength nic salts (3 to 6mg) on tighter airflow only.
0.4Ω dual-mesh pod (RDTL): 50/50 or high-VG at mid wattage for a warm, consistent draw.

Battery, Coil Life and Running Cost
The 3800mAh battery is the headline: two-plus days for light users, a full day for heavy DTL vaping. RPM 4 coils last roughly a week before flavour fades or turns burnt, then you swap the coil and keep the same pod. USB-C tops the battery up in about 90 minutes.

Compatibility and Refills
The Nord 6 uses RPM 4 coils and Smok Nord 6 pods. This is the detail to get right, because the Nord range shares similar-looking names. The empty RPM 4 pod is also backward-compatible with older RPM 3 coils, but RPM 4 is the coil to buy for this device. Older Nord pods (Nord 4, Nord 2) and RPM standard coils do not fit.

Which coils does the Smok Nord 6 use?
It uses Smok RPM 4 mesh coils, in 0.15Ω (DTL) and 0.6Ω (RDTL). The empty pod also accepts older RPM 3 coils, but RPM 4 is the correct family to buy. RPM standard and Nord 4 coils do not fit.
Is the Nord 6 better than the Nord 5?
The Nord 6 has a much larger 3800mAh battery (the Nord 5 has 2000mAh), the newer RPM 4 coils and a bigger touchscreen. Pick the Nord 6 for battery life and clouds; the Nord 5 is lighter and smaller.
Can I use nic salts in the Nord 6?
Only low-strength salts (3 to 6mg) on the 0.6Ω coil with tight airflow. High-strength 20mg salts are not suitable, as sub-ohm power makes them harsh. For clouds, use 70/30 high-VG shortfill instead.
How long does the battery last?
The 3800mAh battery lasts most users two or more days at moderate power. Heavy DTL vaping at 80W will bring that down to about a day. USB-C fast charging refills it in around 90 minutes.
Why is the top-fill pod leaking?
Some users report the 0.15Ω top-fill pod weeping around the coil and airflow area. Prime the coil for 10 minutes before first use, do not overfill, keep the device upright, and wipe the pod base during coil changes. Persistent leaking usually means a worn coil that needs replacing.
What e-liquid should I use?
Use 70/30 high-VG shortfill for the DTL coils, or 50/50 for the RDTL coils. Match higher VG to lower-resistance coils for the best clouds and coil life.
