Description
The JUUL Device is a rechargeable closed pod system from JUUL Labs. Every device ships with its own USB Charging Dock and a 1 year limited warranty, whichever color you pick. There are 5: Slate and Silver as the standard pair, plus 3 limited edition finishes in Turquoise, Maroon, Onyx. JUULpods are sold separately.
Key fact: This device charges to full in about 1 hour on the included USB Charging Dock. The FDA granted it marketing authorization on July 17, 2025, alongside Virginia Tobacco and Menthol JUULpods in 3% and 5% nicotine.
What comes in the box
Each box ships with 3 things: the rechargeable JUUL Device, a USB Charging Dock, and a 1 year limited warranty from JUUL Labs. No pods, no e-liquid, no wall adapter.
The dock is not an optional extra and not a perk on one finish. Every unit comes with one, across all 5 colors.
Searching for a JUUL starter kit? That’s the version that comes with a pod. This listing is the device and its dock on their own, so plan on buying JUULpods separately.
How does the JUUL Device work?
It’s draw-activated. No button, no screen, no wattage to set. You slide a JUULpod into the top, take a draw, and the unit fires on its own. Internal sensors detect when it’s in use, and JUUL’s temperature regulation keeps the coil in range.
Charging runs through the dock in the box. The contacts sit on the bottom, and a full charge takes about 1 hour. The indicator light on the front shows where the battery stands.
Which JUULpods fit this device
This is a closed JUUL pod device, so it takes JUULpods and nothing else. Nothing to refill, no coil to swap. JUUL currently sells JUULpods in 2 nicotine strengths: 5.0% (59 mg/mL) and 3.0% (35 mg/mL).
Vape City USA stocks JUULpods in 4-packs, Virginia Tobacco and Menthol, in both strengths. Those 4 are the JUULpods that carry FDA marketing authorization.
JUUL2 pods use a different format and won’t fit, and neither will Vuse Alto or Blu pods. Check the box says JUULpods before you restock.
Colors and limited edition finishes
5 finishes, 1 machine. Slate and Silver are the core colors JUUL keeps in rotation. Turquoise, Maroon, Onyx are limited edition runs made in fixed quantities.
Slate: dark grey, the original JUUL shade
Silver: light silver grey
Turquoise: blue-green, limited edition
Maroon: deep red, limited edition
Onyx: black, limited edition
All 5 JUUL Device colors are identical inside, and each one ships with its own USB Charging Dock. Battery life, charge time and pod fit stay the same, so pick whichever finish you like.
Who buys the device on its own
3 shoppers reach for this JUUL vape device instead of a bundle. Replacement buyers whose current unit is lost, worn or out of warranty. Existing JUUL users who already know which strength they want and would rather source pods on their own schedule. And collectors chasing the limited edition finishes, which JUUL makes in fixed runs and does not reissue.
If none of that describes you, a bundle is the easier start.
How does it compare to other pod systems?
The JUUL and the Vuse Alto are both closed pod systems built for the same buyer, and Vape City USA stocks both. The hardware experience is close. The pod ecosystem is what really differs.

Restocking this device? JUUL Pods in 4-packs are the match, in Virginia Tobacco or Menthol at 3% or 5%.
Want hardware and pods in 1 order? The Vuse Alto All In One Kit ships with a pre-filled pod. The Vuse Alto Power Unit Kit is the device-only version. Curious where the regulator stands? We wrote up which vapes are FDA authorized in 2026.
You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase from Vape City USA. All products are sold to adults 21+ only. This unit ships without pods and contains no nicotine on its own. JUULpods, sold separately, do contain nicotine and carry the FDA warning: “WARNING: This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.”
