Description
Introduction
The Elf Bar ELFX 2.0 Replacement Pods are the second-generation refillable pods for the whole ELFX range, sold as a pack of 3 for £7.99 in 0.6ohm or 0.8ohm. Each pod holds 2ml, arrives empty, and runs a QUAQ DURA vertical dual mesh coil instead of the original pods’ parallel mesh.
Elf Bar rebuilt the chimney, coil and seals, and these Elf Bar ELFX pods fit the original ELFX, Pro, Mini and Ultra, plus the new Elf Bar ELFX 2 Pod Kit. They suit anyone on nic salts or 50/50 e-liquid who wants stronger flavour and fewer pocket leaks without buying new hardware.
Key Facts
Elf Bar ELFX 2.0 Replacement Pods are sold in packs of three and arrive empty.
An ELFX 2.0 pod holds 2ml of e-liquid, the UK legal maximum.
Two resistances are made for the range: 0.6ohm and 0.8ohm.
At 0.8ohm, an Elf Bar ELFX pod is rated to 17W and gives a mouth-to-lung draw.
At 0.6ohm, the rating rises to 25W for a restricted direct-to-lung draw.
Compatibility covers the Elf Bar ELFX, ELFX Pro, ELFX Mini, ELFX Ultra and ELFX 2.
The Elf Bar ELFX Mega uses a larger pod and will not take an ELFX 2.0 pod.
Nic salts and 50/50 e-liquid suit an ELFX 2.0 pod; high-VG shortfill does not.
Key Specs Customers Check
Pack size: 3 empty pods. Roughly a month of vaping for most users.
Capacity: 2ml per pod. The UK legal maximum; a fill lasts a day or two of moderate use.
Resistance: 0.6ohm or 0.8ohm. 0.8ohm gives a tight mouth-to-lung draw; 0.6 ohm a looser, warmer restricted direct-lung one.
Coil: QUAQ DURA vertical dual mesh, built-in. The whole pod is replaced when it burns out.
Fill method: top fill under a silicone bung. The pod stays on the device while you refill; the bung is child-locked.
Leak protection: five-layer sealing system. One more seal layer than the original pod’s four.
Condensation control: V-shaped reflux channel. Sends condensate back into the pod, not onto the contacts.
Best e-liquid: nic salts or 50/50, 50% VG or lower. Thick shortfills wick slowly and shorten coil life.
Key Features
Up to 35% more flavour: Elf Bar’s own figure for the new chimney and vertical coil.
Fits five ELFX devices: ELFX, Pro Classic Edition, Mini, Ultra and ELFX 2, and old and new pods swap both ways freely.
Does not fit the ELFX Mega: that kit takes a larger pod, sold as the Elf Bar ELFX Mega Replacement Pods.
Twin silicone plugs: two fill-port plugs instead of one, the source of the child lock and most of the leak gain.
Prime before the first draw: leave a fresh pod standing 5 to 10 minutes; skipping this is the biggest cause of an early burnt pod.
0.6ohm or 0.8ohm: Which Elf Bar ELFX Pod to Buy
0.8ohm (MTL) – the everyday choice. Tighter draw, cooler vapour, less liquid per day and the longer-lasting of the two. Pairs with 10mg or 20mg salts and Eco mode on the ELFX 2. Rated to 17W.
0.6ohm (RDTL) – warmer, airier, denser vapour with more flavour punch. Best with 5mg to 10mg salts or 50/50 in Normal or Power mode. Rated to 25W, and it drinks liquid faster.
Ex-smokers and former disposable users should start on 0.8ohm; it mimics a cigarette draw and keeps 20mg salts smooth. Fruit and ice fans wanting cloud should settle on 0.6ohm. Neither pod unlocks the ELFX 2’s full 30W; that needs the separate 0.4ohm pod.
How Long Will an Elf Bar ELFX Pod Last
Light vaper (a few sessions a day): two to three weeks per pod; a 3-pack covers about two months.
Average vaper (a 2ml fill every day or two): seven to fourteen days, with most owners reporting about 10 days before flavour fades.
Heavy vaper (0.6ohm in Power mode, chain vaping): five to seven days.
Sweet liquids, high VG and running the pod dry all cut these figures. Results vary with draw style, and a 0.6ohm pod in Power mode will always go faster than a 0.8ohm in Eco.
How to Fill and Make Pods Last Longer
Filling a new pod
Click the pod into the device.
Lift the silicone bung on the top edge.
Tilt the pod and fill down the side channel to just below the top, leaving an air gap.
Press the bung flat until it clicks; the click is the child lock engaging.
Wait 5 to 10 minutes on the first fill, then take gentle draws.
Making it last
Top up at halfway; the tinted pod is hard to read in low light, so check it in daylight.
Keep the device upright; most mouthpiece leaks come from pods stored sideways or overfilled.
Replace the pod at the first burnt note; a cooked mesh coil does not recover.
What It Costs to Run
At £7.99 for three pods, you are paying £2.66 per pod. On the average figure of ten days a pod, a three-pack covers roughly a month, so the hardware side of running an ELFX works out around £8 a month plus e-liquid.
The original Elf Bar ELFX Replacement Pods are £8.99 for three, so the 2.0 pod is 34p cheaper per pod and has the better coil. There is no reason to buy the original unless you already have a resistance you like and want to match it.
Empty pods carry no vaping products duty. The 1 October 2026 duty rise lands on the Elfliq nic salts you fill them with, not on the pods themselves.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the ELFX 2.0 pods fit my original ELFX kit?
Yes. They fit the original Elf Bar ELFX, ELFX Pro Classic Edition, ELFX Mini, ELFX Ultra and ELFX 2. The only exception is the Elf Bar ELFX Mega, which takes a different, larger pod.
Can I use my old ELFX pods in the new ELFX 2 kit?
Yes. The ELFX 2 runs both generations, so use up old stock first. The pods swap freely in both directions across the range.
What is the real difference between V1 and 2.0 pods?
Vertical dual mesh instead of parallel, a chimney rated for up to 35% more flavour, five seal layers not four, twin child-locked fill plugs, a larger electrode and a reflux channel. The pod is fractionally taller at 36.9mm against 35.1mm.
Which Elf Bar ELFX pod is better, 0.6ohm or 0.8ohm?
0.8ohm for most people. It gives a tighter cigarette-style draw, runs cooler, uses less liquid and lasts longer, and it handles 20mg nic salt smoothly. Pick 0.6ohm only if you want warmer, airier vapour and do not mind refilling more often.
Why does my pod spit or leak from the mouthpiece?
Almost always overfilling or storing the device on its side. Leave an air gap when you fill, keep it upright, and wipe the mouthpiece after refilling. A quick tap of the mouthpiece on tissue clears spitback.
Why does a new pod taste burnt?
The cotton was not soaked before the first draw, or the liquid dropped below the side channels. Prime for 5 to 10 minutes and top up at halfway. Once a coil is cooked, it does not recover, so that pod is finished.
Can I use 70/30 shortfill in these pods?
No, not sensibly. Above 50% VG, the liquid wicks too slowly through a pod coil and burns it early. Stick to nic salts or 50/50 e-liquid. High-VG shortfills belong in a sub-ohm tank, not an ELFX.
Do the pods come prefilled?
No. They are empty refillable pods with no nicotine inside. You buy a 10ml e-liquid separately and fill them yourself, which is what makes them cheaper to run than prefilled pods.
How many pods come in a pack?
Three, all the same resistance. You choose 0.6ohm or 0.8ohm at checkout, and a pack cannot be mixed. Buy one of each if you want to try both.
